Public art downtown

As we enter an aggressive renovation phase downtown, it seems only fitting to add more public art as part of the process. Take a look at some of these fun examples and tell us what you think -- should we add unique elements like this to our downtown buildings and windows? What say you oh wise and progressive public?

yes, definately murals etc are a wonderful way to brighten up an urban area. I also like them because they bring a sense of authenticity to new development. Sometimes when buildings are new or newly renovated they can look a bit fabricated. Don't get me wrong it is much better to have these buildings in tip top working order, but I definately thing art is a great component to development.

I hope RD does not put some really tacky advertising on their 2000 sq ft billboard being constructed on the South Side of Sutton Place...
